

Muscat: HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, accompanied by a number of members of the Council of Ministers, received on Tuesday at the Council’s building in Muscat, Shaikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, and members of the Council’s Office.
A joint meeting was convened with the aim of reinforcing cooperative frameworks and sustaining coordination between the Council of Minister, the Council of Oman and all state institutions.
At the beginning of the joint meeting held between the two councils, HH Sayyid Theyazin lauded the endeavours undertaken by the State Council across diverse spheres, as well as the national responsibilities it carries in support of the comprehensive development drive and the consolidation of institutional governance in the service of the public interest. He affirmed that the Council of Ministers consistently welcomes the proposals, insights and studies put forward by the State Council.
For their part, the Chairman of the State Council and the members of the Council’s Office expressed their deep appreciation for the commitment shown by the Council of Ministers to fostering a culture of collective action and enhancing ongoing collaboration, which serves to unify and integrate efforts, elevate the standard of institutional effectiveness and reflect favorably on the service of the nation and the realization of its developmental aspirations.
During the meeting, a number of topics were reviewed, including the role of sectoral strategies in promoting development in the governorates. Constructive views were also exchanged on all matters that would elevate the efforts exerted to achieve the public interest.
